Hello. We are Elizabeth & Daniel Case. We were invited to participate in this Amrex blog.

Although our Russian and Bulgarian adoptions were non-Amrex related, our former agency BUILDING BLOCKS ADOPTION SERVICE, INC. (BBAS) is an Amrex agency. I have it on good authority BBAS continues to solicit clients for their Amrex-facilitated Russian and Kazakhstan programs. Even after Amrex's bankruptcy and the fact Amrex owes the agency over $200K.

We don't think BBAS is unique.

You can go here for our non-Amrex story, but we warn you. It's long. It's sad. It's angry.

On September 18, 2006 I was just about fed up with reading about AMREX. I couldn't stop wondering how so many wonderful people were weaved into this web of lies by agencies who couldn't get them home with their children.

My first post on FRUA was "Are you sick of AMREX, GENESIS, and API." No one responded. After three days I had three families. Indirectly I met "The Case's" and "The Ethan Story." These two families are the bravest of all. They came forward shouting their story for the world to hear but not enough people opened their ears. Luckily for myself I found their stories during the first thirty days of my research into International Adoption.

A special thank you to both famlies. If the reason you posted was to save at least one family from heartache I can account for being at least one! Both of you have a special place in my heart as I spent hours crying at my computer screen as I read the horrific dealings of what these agencies have done. I will not say your agency but you are invited to be blog entry #2 and #3.

In the search for an experienced individual in the adoption arena Pat J has given so much time and assistance to this group too. With man thanks we all look forward to seeing your post!
